The deep sea is divided in four layers. The first layer is the epipelagic, which extends down to around 200m, which is also around the lowest depth that light can penetrate. Then, we have the mesopelagic zone, the bathypelagic zone and the abyssopelagic zone. Deep sea fish coloration can also be useful in catching prey. The deep sea provides less than 1% of the world’s seafood. With a magnifying lens on another camera the cloud resolves into a crowd of flea like crustaceans called amphipods.
